Project Description
Ebaza Gardens recently completed a playground and urban furniture installation in Al-Muzahmiyya, combining children’s play equipment with practical site facilities to make better use of a residential outdoor space.
The project included a multi-activity play structure with slides, climbing access and a crawl tunnel, a separate swing set, rubber safety flooring, and outdoor waste bins for the surrounding area.
Scope of Work
After reviewing the site and identifying suitable positions for each element, our team completed:
- Assembly and anchoring of the playground equipment
- Installation of equipment over rubber safety flooring
- Fixing-point preparation and post anchoring for the urban furniture
- Final installation and stability checks
The waste bins were placed around the landscaped and circulation areas rather than inside the active play zone, keeping disposal convenient without crowding the playground.
Playground Equipment Installed
The main play structure gives children several connected activities in one unit:
- Access stairs lead to raised platforms, offering a simple climbing route to the play features
- Double straight slide lets two children use the slide side by side
- Spiral slide adds a second, more varied descent
- Covered crawl tunnel connects the elevated sections, encouraging movement between platforms rather than a single up-and-down path
- Guardrails and side panels define the raised sections and add protection at height
A separate swing set stands in front of the main structure. Keeping it apart from the slide tower gives swinging its own clear zone and keeps the layout organized.
Urban Furniture Installed
Outdoor waste bins were added to keep the surrounding area easy to maintain. Each unit has a cylindrical design with wood-look vertical panels, a black metal frame, and a covered top section with a stainless-steel opening — a finish that suits gardens and landscaped settings.
Support posts were anchored into prepared concrete foundations, with position and level checked before the concrete was allowed to set. Bins were placed along pedestrian and landscaped areas, reachable without cutting into playground space.
Layout and Safety Considerations
Because the swing set needs a larger clear movement radius than fixed play equipment, it was positioned away from the slide exits and the access staircase. The main structure stayed within the rubber-floored zone, keeping the primary climbing and sliding activities on a surface built for it.
After assembly, we inspected all connections, platforms, railings, slides and swing components to confirm everything was stable and correctly positioned.
Why Urban Furniture Matters Here
A playground isn’t only used by children — parents, visitors and maintenance staff use the space too. Bins placed near the activity area give everyone a convenient place to dispose of waste, instead of it collecting on lawns or pathways, and make routine cleaning simpler.
Benefits of the Completed Installation
- Varied play — climbing, crawling, sliding and swinging in one area
- Purpose-built surface — rubber safety flooring under the main structure
- Separated zones — swings and play structure each get dedicated space
- Practical facilities — waste bins support everyday use
- Efficient use of site — equipment and furniture work together within the available footprint
Final Inspection
Before calling the project complete, our team checked the play structure’s stability, platforms, protective elements, slides, access points and swing connections. For the urban furniture, we confirmed post alignment and foundation setting. Finally, we reviewed the site as a whole to make sure the playground, circulation routes, landscaping and waste bins worked together without obstruction.
