Outdoor Playground Installation at SASCO Al Jazira Station

Ebaza Gardens recently completed the installation of a children’s playground at SASCO Al Jazira Station, supplying and installing the main playground structure together with a separate rope activity unit, swings, seesaw, spring rider and crawl tunnel.

The main feature of the project is a large green and beige themed playset with several raised platforms. It includes open slides, a curved slide, climbing access, stairs, handrails and enclosed play sections. Instead of using the remaining area for more of the same equipment, separate activities were added around the site so children have other options away from the main structure.

The completed project gives SASCO Al Jazira Station a dedicated children’s facility that can be used by families stopping at the station, while keeping the play activities within one clearly defined area.

Scope of Work

Before installation, the team measured the available space and marked the position and fixing points for each item. Foundation points were opened where required, the structural posts were set in position and the equipment was fixed using concrete foundations or mechanical anchors depending on the installation requirement.

The large playground was assembled on site, followed by the rope climbing unit and other independent equipment. Moving parts, swing connections, bolts, foundations and structural joints were checked after installation. The existing rubber tile surface was maintained around the equipment, with disturbed fixing areas finished after installation. A final inspection was then carried out before completion.

Playground Equipment Installed

This project includes one large main playset together with several standalone activities. Each item has a different function rather than repeating the same type of play throughout the area.

Large Themed Multi-Activity Playset

The main playset is built around several elevated platforms at different points of the structure. Children can access the upper sections through stairs and climbing elements and then move between the different parts of the unit.

The castle- and nature-inspired roof details give the structure its own visual identity, while the green and beige finish keeps the whole unit consistent.

Double Open Slide

A double slide is connected to one of the main platforms and allows two children to slide alongside each other.

Curved Slide

A separate curved slide provides another exit from the structure and gives children a different route from the upper play level.

Climbing and Access Sections

Stairs, ladders, handrails and climbing elements are built into the main playset, allowing children to reach the raised areas in different ways.

Rope Adventure and Climbing Frame

A large rectangular climbing frame was installed as a completely separate activity. It contains rope nets, suspended sections and balancing obstacles that require children to cross from one side to another using their hands, feet and balance. This equipment adds a more challenging physical activity that is different from the slides on the main structure.

Swing Set

A separate kids swing frame was installed with its own clear operating area so that children using the swings are not directly crossing the climbing or slide routes.

Two-Seat Seesaw

The seesaw provides a simple two-child activity based on up-and-down movement and cooperative play.

Spring Rider

A flower-themed spring rider was added as a smaller activity for younger children. Its lower height and rocking movement provide a simpler option compared with the large climbing equipment.

Crawl Tunnel

A freestanding tunnel unit allows children to crawl from one end to the other at ground level. This adds another activity for children who may not want to use the elevated parts of the playground.

Rubber Safety Tiles

The equipment is installed over rubber playground tiles rather than exposed concrete. The tiles provide a more suitable surface around active play equipment and also make it possible to define the playground separately from the surrounding station area.
