Project Description
Ebaza Gardens recently completed a multi-activity playground equipment installation in a public park in Madina, Saudi Arabia. This project combined several independent play stations to give children different ways to move, climb, slide, swing, balance and play together.
The completed setup includes a multi-level slide structure, climbing units, swing frames, spring riders, a rotating play unit and a multi-seat seesaw. Each item was positioned as its own activity point, helping distribute children across the available park space instead of concentrating everyone around a single piece of equipment.
This approach made the area more useful for a public setting, where children of different interests and activity levels may be using the play zone at the same time.
Scope of Work
For this Madina public park project, our work covered the supply, positioning, assembly and on-site installation of the playground equipment.
Before fixing the equipment, the available space was reviewed to determine practical locations for the larger structures and smaller standalone activities. The installation team then assembled the steel frames, play platforms, slides and climbing components before securing the equipment to the prepared ground.
Several freestanding units, including the spring riders, seesaw, climbing frames and swing structures, were installed using dedicated anchoring points and concrete foundations. This helps keep equipment stable during repeated public use.
The larger playground structure was assembled section by section, including its supporting posts, platforms, access points, protective panels and slides. After assembly, the team checked the installed units, connections and overall positioning before completing the playground setup.
Playground Equipment Installed
The project includes a wider mix of equipment than a conventional slide-and-swing installation.
Multi-Activity Playground Structure
The main play structure forms one of the central activity areas and includes:
- Elevated play platforms
- Multiple play towers
- Single straight slide
- Double straight slide
- Spiral slide
- Access steps
- Connecting sections
- Safety guardrails
- Protective activity panels
- Decorative roof features
- Powder-coated supporting posts
Using several slide types within one structure gives children more than one route through the equipment and makes repeat play more interesting.
Freestanding Climbing Equipment
Separate climbing stations were installed away from the main slide structure.
These include steel climbing frames with a combination of:
- Vertical ladders
- Horizontal climbing bars
- Overhead monkey bars
- Rope or chain climbing nets
- Side climbing sections
- Open climbing routes
These units add a more physically demanding form of play and give older or more active children an alternative to slides and swings.
Swing Structures
Multiple freestanding swing frames were also installed across the park area. Their separate positioning creates dedicated swinging zones without interfering with climbing and sliding activities. The steel frames are permanently anchored to the ground to provide a stable base for regular outdoor use.
Multi-Seat Spring Seesaw
A long four-seat seesaw was installed using a central twin-spring support system. Unlike a traditional two-seat seesaw, this design allows several children to participate together, adding a cooperative element to the playground while creating a different movement experience from the other equipment.
Rotating Animal Play Unit
Another distinctive feature is the circular rotating play unit fitted with colorful animal-shaped seats and surrounding handholds. It provides a shared activity where several children can ride together, adding rotational movement and group interaction to the overall playground.
Individual Spring Riders
Standalone animal-shaped spring riders were installed as smaller activity stations within the park. Their compact size makes them useful alongside the larger equipment because they provide a simpler play option for younger children without occupying a large section of the play area.
Why This Equipment Mix Works Well in a Public Park
One of the strongest aspects of this project is the variety of play experiences available within the same outdoor space.
Instead of every child using one structure, the park now offers separate zones for climbing, sliding, swinging, rocking and rotating play. This helps spread activity more naturally throughout the playground and gives children freedom to move between different equipment according to what interests them.
The climbing equipment encourages upper-body movement, coordination and problem-solving. Slides provide fast, familiar active play, while swings and spring-based equipment introduce different forms of balance and movement. Group equipment such as the rotating unit and four-seat seesaw also creates opportunities for children to play alongside one another rather than using every activity individually.
For a public park, this variety is particularly valuable because the playground needs to serve many families rather than one specific household or age group.
The use of multiple freestanding structures also makes the overall park feel more complete. Instead of leaving large unused sections around a single playground tower, different activities can be distributed across the available area to create a broader and more engaging play environment.
Planning a Playground for Your Own Space?
Every playground requires a different solution depending on the available area, expected users and intended use. A public park may need several activity zones, while a school, villa, home garden or indoor play area may require a completely different equipment layout.
If you are planning a public park playground, school play area, villa or home garden playground, indoor play space or another recreational project in Saudi Arabia, the Ebaza Gardens team can support you with equipment selection, layout planning, supply and professional installation.
The goal is not simply to place playground equipment in an empty space, but to create a practical play area where the equipment, available space and installation method work properly together.
