SCECO Dammam Playground – 16 Safe Outdoor Features
SCECO Dammam playground installation was successfully completed as a full public outdoor recreation project designed to serve families, children, and the surrounding community. Executed in coordination with Mani Contracting Company (E.L.T), this project represents a complete supply, delivery, and installation of a modern children’s outdoor playground system within the SCECO Dammam facility.
The SCECO Dammam playground project was developed with the objective of creating a vibrant, safe, and multifunctional recreational environment suitable for public use. The playground supports active play, social interaction, and imaginative experiences for children of various age groups, while maintaining high standards of safety and durability required for institutional facilities.
Project Planning & Design for SCECO Dammam Playground
The planning phase of the SCECO playground installation in Dammam involved detailed coordination between the client, Mani Contracting Company, and the technical team from Ebaza Gardens. Site conditions, available space, circulation paths, and user safety were carefully assessed before finalizing the playground layout.
The design focused on creating multiple play zones that allow group activities without congestion. Equipment spacing, fall zones, and movement flow were optimized to ensure children can move freely and safely throughout the playground.
Visual appeal was also a key consideration. Bright colors, themed elements, and playful forms were selected to make the playground attractive and inviting while blending harmoniously with the surrounding urban environment.

Multi-Play Playground Structures
The centerpiece of the playground is a large multi-play unit featuring elevated platforms connected through interactive panels and access points. These structures encourage climbing, coordination, and imaginative role-play activities.
The multi-play system is designed for group use, allowing multiple children to play simultaneously without interference. Decorative roof elements and themed panels enhance the visual identity of the playground.
Slides & Tunnel Slides
A combination of straight slides, curved slides, and tunnel slides were installed to provide varied play experiences. These slides are manufactured from high-quality LLDPE plastic, offering smooth surfaces, UV resistance, and long-term durability.
The tunnel slides add excitement and exploration while maintaining safe entry and exit points.
Swings & Motion Play Equipment
The playground includes swing systems designed for different age groups, supporting balance, coordination, and social interaction. Motion-based play elements help children develop body awareness and confidence through dynamic movement.
Seesaws & Group Play Elements
Group seesaws and interactive play equipment were installed to promote cooperative play. These elements encourage teamwork, communication, and shared activity among children.
EPDM Safety Flooring Installation
As part of the SCECO Dammam playground project, EPDM rubber safety flooring was installed across the entire play area. This flooring provides excellent shock absorption, slip resistance, and durability, making it ideal for high-traffic public playgrounds.
The EPDM surface was applied in multiple colors to define play zones and enhance visual appeal. The flooring also contributes to improved accessibility and comfort for users.
Proper ground preparation and leveling were completed before flooring installation to ensure long-term performance and drainage.
